Shows I’m watching
This show has some serious cooking on it but also some serious laughs. Nadia G (Julia Child of the Net generation), Panos (Greek fish monger), Hans (Scantily Clad Food Correspondent) and The Spice Agent (dark and mildly mysterious spice specialist) all make it a fun show. Geez, reading over the description it sounds like a comic book. In Canada this airs on the Food Network. One of the recipes I would like to try is Tilapia with Roasted Tomatoes & Capers.
Chuck’s Day Off
This has one of my favourite Canadian chefs Chuck Hughes. This show is all about what he cooks for people when he’s not working. So the cooking is more relaxed. If you love music, you have to check out the soundtrack to his show. There is some seriously awesome musical artists featured on his show. Who wouldn’t love Mushroom and Pancetta Sauce with Chicken? Chuck’s Day Off is also on the Food Network in Canada.
Salt and Pepper Pistachios
I like to have nuts in the house. They are very healthy in moderation. Well let me tell you, that was a test for sure with these pistachios. Who would think salt and pepper would make all the different? I bought mine at Walmart.

Martha Stewart’s Matzo Ball Soup
In the Ottawa Valley, we have had some gross weather this week. It was the first day of spring but we have been getting snow off and on all week. Seriously going to make me cry. I’ve been busy pinning soup recipes on Pinterest probably due to the weather. I’ve never made or eaten Matzo before but here is the recipe I would like to try in the near future. Martha Stewart’s Matzo Ball Soup looks so good. Drool.
